Past
The doors of Palmetto Elementary School were first opened to the public in August of 1991. After an extensive renovation, Palmetto High School was converted into Palmetto Elementary School. The conversion to an elementary school was part of a school consolidation program that merged students from Palmetto Elementary, Cedar Grove, and Charles Riley Elementary Schools.
Present
Palmetto Elementary School has approximately 430 students from the cities of Palmetto, Fairburn, and Chattahoochee Hills. Palmetto Elementary School is a Title I Distinguished School.
Future
Students leaving Palmetto Elementary School will be empowered to become self - directed learners, so they may be responsible and productive contributors to our society.
